O objektu
The Niechorze Lighthouse is one of the most distinctive lighthouses on the Polish coast. Built in 1866, it stands 45 meters high and is one of the tallest lighthouses in Poland. It stands on a clifftop—its light shines from a total height of 63 meters above sea level and reaches as far as 24 nautical miles (approximately 44 km).
The lighthouse is built of red brick, with a distinctive viewing gallery at the top. It can be climbed by 200 steps leading to an observation deck. The reward is spectacular—a panorama of the Baltic Sea, the cliff in Trzęsacz, the ruins of a medieval church, and the beaches of Niechorze and Rewal.
Next to the lighthouse is a small Sea Fishing Museum showcasing the history of the port, salmon fishing, and the fishing nets and tools used by Pomeranian fishermen since the 19th century. The lighthouse is open seasonally (April–October), usually from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Admission is charged (around 15 złoty for adults, reduced for children).
The Niechorze Lighthouse is a must-see on the tourist map of the western Pomeranian coast – an unforgettable view from above and an engaging lesson in maritime history for the whole family.
